Darakonda Colony village has four borewells and a spring. While two borewells are contaminated, the other two borewells provide very less yield in summer. The water gets contaminated during rainy season with rain water. The path to the spring (Vuta) is slippery and is 200 meters away and 30 meters deep. The community leaders approached VJNNS and provided the details of the spring located at a distance of 1800 meters elevation at source which has a good yield. The request of the community is genuine and recommended for the Gravity Fed Water Supply System is an appropriate solution to solve the drinking problem of the village for the present and future generations.
